Danae Dolinsky-Songy lives in Keene, TX and works as a Program Director and Morning Show Host at 88.3 KJRN The Journey. She loves Christian radio, prays for her listeners and mentors students who want to work in radio. She grew up all over the US but spent the majority of her life in Southern California. After attending Andrews University Adventist Seminary in Berrien Springs, MI she finished her Master’s in Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Danae has worked as a youth leader in many capacities and has assisted in ministry events in California, Texas, Michigan and Arkansas where she plays guitar, speaks or assists in coordinating programs for kids and adults. Her passion is giving Bible studies and intentionally going out of her way to befriend people outside the church.
She loves the Lord with all her heart and wants nothing more than to help others love her Beloved the way she does. Danae loves animals, enjoys running, acrobatic silks, guitar and especially traveling with family. Her husband, Jerrod Songy, is the pastor of the Crossroads Fellowship Adventist Church in Joshua TX.
Alexis Rivera comes from a very diverse background. She grew up fully involved with her family in children's ministry, leading out in Adventurers, Pathfinders, and a travelling puppetry team. Her experience carried over into summer camp, where she taught classes in two of her favorite hobbies: trail biking and swimming. During her ten years of work with Wewoka Woods Adventist Summer Camps, she found her passion in writing, developing and leading out in spiritual programming for the youth. She chose to carry that into her professional life, getting her Bachelors of Arts in Theology at Southwestern Adventist University in 2008 and her Masters of Divinity at Andrews University in 2013.
During her life, God has opened many opportunities for her involvement with young people. She worked in the Oklahoma Conference as the assistant youth director and program's director, developed and preached children's evangelistic meetings, became involved as a children's pastor, and is currently working with It Is Written children's programming.
Her training in pastoral ministry has helped add to her many tools. "Kids are able to understand the deep Biblical truths in a fun and interactive manner!" She says, "I take what I have learned and share it in their language."
When she is not studying, she is fellowshipping, reaching out to her neighbors and friends. She loves to share the joy of knowing Jesus with all she comes in contact with. She is willing to go wherever God leads and looks forward to the plans he lays out for her future.
Riversong Ministries strives to create programs and seminars that are:
1. Bible based
The concepts shared are drawn from the teachings of scripture. They are developed with prayer and deep theological study by trained seminary graduates as well as thoroughly cited so others my research what is presented on their own.
2. Christ centered
We desire that our materials share the good news of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Whether it is a media file or a speaking engagement, in all that we do Christ must shine brightly!
It is of utmost importance that programs engage the heart and mind. Each resource is relevent and powerfully interactive so that people discuss the contents long after they have been presented
We are constantly brainstorming for new ideas and press forward to think "outside the box". Because of this we we are able to lay new and fresh ideas on the table.
5. Thought Provoking
The purpose of our resources are not for mere entertainment. They are to encourage participants to use critical thinking and draw listeners to learn and increase in wisdom about the Bible and its teachings.
6. Life changing
We build resources that direct people to Christ and cause growth. We pray that, as groups and individuals use our materials, they will draw near to God and be challenged to make positive lifestyle and faith choices.
Once an idea from our page is applied, it shoud go beyond the idea itself and take on a life of its own. We want our concepts to grow exponentially as they spread from person to person and group to group.
